wild flower meadow

This is Sudbury Meadow which is a garden managed by volunteers. The wild flower garden has been created to attract the insects and there are two other garden areas, one to attract butterflies and one for the birds. There is also a sponsored orchard with fruit allocated first to the sponsors then to the volunteers. The public are allowed to pick up the windfalls! I used to be one of the volunteers but now with the allotment I don't have time.
Good work & to me infinitely lovelier than a regimented border.
