St Andrew's church Woodwalton

Another shot from our afternoon out on Friday. This is a redundant Anglican church looked after by the Friends of Friendless churches. What a sad title. It is not regularly open to the public due to its unsafe foundations but is open this coming weekend as part of the Heritage open days weekend. Originally mentioned in the Domesday book it has been added to over the centuries. None of the original stained glass windows remain but one of the original windows is housed in the stained glass museum in Ely Cathedral for safe-keeping.
A beautiful image and supporting two lovely inset photos -- very nicely composed Judith ! -- fav

Well that is a very sad sight......quite a large church too, seems a great pity it can't be used for something, I suppose it all comes down to money for repair!
