St Albans Cathedral by busylady

St Albans Cathedral

This impressive ceiling in the 'Cathedral and Abbey Church of St Alban' to give it it's proper name, was painted in 1952 to commemorate Queen Elizabeth becoming Queen. A magnificent building with lots to see and photograph. Photographers are welcome and the staff were most helpful.
Very creatively captured with several 'frames within frames' and strong attention to detail.

Great shot, what an attractive ceiling. I was Confirmed in this Cathedral when I was about 12 yrs old but can't remember what the building was like, I should revisit.

All beautiful but that middle section is particularly special.....shades of William Morris type decoration possibly.

@julzmaioro No I just stood in the middle and looked up. The hardest part was keeping the zoom lens from trying to return to it's usual position!
