The St. Pancras Lovers

This bronze sculpture known as The Meeting Place by Paul Day was commissioned for the opening of the newly developed St Pancras Station in 2007 and inaugurated by Queen Elizabeth ll. Below the thirty foot high statue is a circular base showing the bronze sculptures which I've shown as smaller images. The brief for the sculpture stated that it should be 'romantic, democratic and as iconic as the Statue of Liberty'. I think he fulfilled the brief!
I think this is a lovely statue - I noticed it for the first time when coming off the Eurostar last week. I particularly like the way you've included the detail of the smaller images too. Fav.
