Bank Holiday Monday saw our allotment hold a very successful open day. We have a community plot which has come on leaps and bounds since our new committee was formed about two years ago. We now have tea and coffee making facilities, a covered seating area, a generator and an eco toilet! All mod cons! There was plenty to do for families with children, from having a go at fishing in the nearby river, to holding a pet snake. All good fun with plenty of tea and cake.
What fun allotments seem to be Judith. Much more fun than having your own garden! I am missing that allotment challenge orogramme this year or is it too early? The one with Fern Brittain.
