Night market

We had heavy rain today so the troops were out swishing the water from the streets in the Muslim quarter of Xi-an. The night market was lively, bright and colourful - boys with mallets hammering candies, freshly squeezed pomegranate juice, deep fried squid, whole animal carcasses hanging, smoke in the air. A really exotic atmosphere.
