The castle here is high in a hill overlooking the town. We walked up but took the lttle tourist train down - bad knees! I've not done 3 good things lately. What's not good when you're on holiday?
1. Being able to visit Eastern Germany and finding beautiful towns
2. Great food, cheaper than the UK
3. Freedom to travel
What a great building, such opulence in those days. People think it's a modern day thing (the big gap between the rich and poor) but it's always been there. Stunning shot!
How fairytale and wonderful. Travelling many years ago when Berlin was still divided and it was necessary to traverse Checkpoint Charlie to visit the other side, it is an amazing and welcome thing that now both sides of Germany can be moved freely between. Lovely photo.
Such a great looking Schloss and the gardens look beautiful too. Loved our three years in Germany when the kids were little, so many great places to visit.
