Tea and cake, always good to lift the spirits. This is a fair trade tea loaf, very easy to make and it makes 3 loaves which freeze well, so always handy to have some in stock. I started eating it before I took the picture, hence the title.
A wonderful capture and presentation - - Looks a lovely tea-bread - and has made me crave for a piece - I think I shall make my favourite Welsh "Bara Brith " I use my mum's recipe ! I shall soak the fruit over night and bake in the morning ! Fav .
@happypat oh yes, I only had one slice. 2 cakes in the freezer. Not good news re the knee. He's been transferred to another hospital and they may have to re-open the wound
@busylady Oh no Judith...how on earth has that happened...how depressing for you both...he should be thinking of home anytime ...Harry was shocked when I’ve told him. Hope they get things sorted soon. Thinking of you....makes it worse when no visiting...you don’t know what’s going on properly! ...
@happypat thanks for your concern. I'm going to ring the hospital shortly to find out what's going on. Yes we were half expecting he would be coming home tomorrow!
Lovely shot of what looks a delicious treat. Sorry to hear about your husband’s knee. I’m sure our local hospital is allowing one visitor per person now. Am assuming this isn’t the case where you are?
@carole_sandford He was in a private hospital but under the NHS, so no visitors there at all. I haven't had chance to ask at the local hospital so I'll find out tomorrow
