I was at the dentist for a check-up, first time for 18 months. It was so different, with a note on the door telling you to knock on the window to alert the staff, crosses on the floor telling you where to stand, one way arrows everywhere, seats grouped in pairs or threes and no magazines on the table. It felt very safe but also very strange. After that I had a stroll through the town which also felt strangely quiet.
Good things - playing tennis with a set four and seeing the chilren's groups having their coaching sessions. Warm weather and lunch in the garden.
I recently had a dental appointment & I have to say I was very impressed with their slick operating system! I think they put GPS to shame, who are still hiding in their surgeries. We have now had over a year of GPs doing rounds by video at work! You can only do so much diagnosing in this way! I appreciate they may not all be operating in this way, but the surgery that serves our care home, certainly is.
How times change. Our dentists and doctors are almost back to normal again now, but still have spaces between seats etc. I think it will be this way for a long time.
