The Guildhall by busylady

The Guildhall

We had a day out in Lavenham today, an historic town in Suffolk with many timbered buildings. The Guildhall was built around 1530 by a religious organisation of local merchants. Now owned by the National Trust and housing a museum, it originally contained a meeting hall, a merchant's house and a medieval shop.
A proper Guildhall. Lovely building!

Beautiful, especially in the sunshine.

I always enjoy Lavenham, but find cars make it difficult to take images of the buildings. You did well to get the Guildhall with out cars or people.

@bob65 Thank you. It was a fairly quiet day today so we were lucky. I guess it's still early in the season
