After too long stuck inside watching us emptying box after box of nothing even vaguely edible smelling, we thought it was time to take them out to the woods nearby. Tetley spotted, chased and then (thankfully) lost this plump grey squirrel...
A bemused Tinker just 'chased'...Tetley!
A great leg stretch was had by all!
All my whippets have really had it in for squirrels, mainly I think because they have the frustrating ability to run up trees and along branches overhead! This is a great shot! Fav!
@bleakhounds It's early days for Tinker who just likes chasing Tetley!! @kmrtn6 Save her...you won't regret it! @tishpics ...and these trees are high! Thanks for the fav ...it was a great runabout.
lovely picture of your dogs in the woods! whippets are so beautiful and the green moss on the trees makes the scene so mystical.... I hope it is only a squirrel that is up there... lol
this is gorgeous! I love the dogs, as you know, but this shot is uniqe in that it has the beautiful large trees with moss! So cute how the dog is standing on 2 feet. fav.
@fungirlslim Very droll! @judithg The 'barking' tends to be in reaction to other, louder dogs...so Monty would probably spark them off rather than the other way round! @scottkaway@whitelily@elizabeth264 The green moss is probably down to all our recent rain! @tooki A fab place to explore...can go for hours. If I still cycled 'off-road' this would be perfect! @klemieux Many here call them 'Tree Rats' (bit unkind really)... the squirrels not the greyhounds! @wannabe@elizabeth264 Thanks for the favs ...and wow the PP...It's the 'big-time' for the whippets now...
Lovely photo. Kayna, the lovely little lurcher, is a squirrel chaser (and on occasion, catcher) so I have seen her in similar poses to this. Love the shape of the tree to the left of your handsome whippets.
@tishpics@fungirlslim So I'm told...Thank you both ...there really is no way of knowing what will sparkle for others! @kaynadog Naturally I was trying to mirror the tree bend in Tetley's back!
