The hill is the highest point in The Forest of Dean and my wife bought the house just for the view. It could have been a cardboard box for all she cared.

I can understand how your wife feels! I'd sleep in a cardboard box to be able to wake up to that view...

Brilliant view - the trees are especially lovely and with the hedges, fields and the house in the distance, it is wonderful.

It's Ruardean Hill. We are in Drybrook. Guessed you had been in Parkend when you mentioned The Barracks.
