Vanessa had a great week at horse camp, despite the heat and humidity! She has made a lot of improvements this year, and enjoys riding Cherokee (who is the same horse she rides for lessons). I'm so proud of her!
The final day they had a mini horse show, to show off what they've learned. They even had a few games like barrel racing, and key-hole (pole weaving). She got the award for most energetic camper.
Big news here for us, at the end of camp Cherokee was for sale, and Vanessa's Grandparents bought him. I said no way can we afford to board a horse, and they want to pay the monthly boarding stable cost as well.
She's excited, but nervous about how to fit in riding time once school and homework starts up again in September. But, I think it will be great for her.
So... this is fair warning - there's bound to be more Cherokee pictures in the future, hahaha :)
