So I have always wanted to attempt the frozen bubble photo. I have seen beautiful images on here, and elsewhere, of the bubbles freezing in sub zero temps.
It was plenty cold here in Wisconsin. But my cheap dollar store bubbles would only las a couple seconds before popping. This was the only way I was able to capture them. Not how I envisioned. Doesn't help that I tried around sunset, when my lighting was less than optimal.
Oh well. At least I tried.
p.s. I also tried the trick of throwing boiling water up in the air when it was below freezing ... for the record it Does turn to dust / snow. But, if you throw it out the front door, as I did, the rest of the water turns to ice. on the sidewalk. no good. I would recommend throwing it off a deck or something next time.
