(126) In Memoriam

A memorial for Phillip Hughes, the 25 year old Australian cricketer who died today after being hit on the head by a cricket ball during a match on Tuesday.

Becoming the youngest ever player to score two centuries in the same test, Phil Hughes looked to have an incredibly bright future playing for Australia.

Please spare a thought for Sean Abbott, the bowler who bowled that ball. It wasn't his fault, and no one blames him, but he is going to carry this burden his entire life.
Such a tragedy and so very heartbreaking for his family and friends. Feel so sorry for Sean Abbott, such a terrible burden that he has to deal with. This is a beautiful tribute Cally ..♥♥♥

@aromatic Thank you Jane. As an avid cricket fan, this has hit very, very hard. I've seen plenty of head injuries on the pitch and I never, ever expected that this would happen. I'm glad that the decision has been made that he will remain 63 Not Out forever.
