Quarry bank cotton mill by callymazoo

Quarry bank cotton mill

we visited this huge mill which is part of the National Trust. Annoying we arrived fairly late in the day so only were allowed entry intot he mill itself but not the apprentice's house whih had to be prebooked, not=r the garden as they shut the gates to new entrants 5 minutes before we reached it. However the mill and its history was interesting. It was amazing to see all these spools attached top one loom. We saw a display of the proves from the sacks of cotton through to the final product. I would not have liked to have worked in the conditions at the time!
I remember a visit to a cotton mill in some town in England recently! Fascinating and complicated but all so well connected!
