@danette I'm jealous... I'm a bit overwhelmed! We are trying to get my son's condo ready to move into and I just have piles and piles of his stuff all over the place. Photos and recipes are a couple of specific things I want to work on this year. And the garage and junk room...
@calm First, it sounds like some of that is temporary. Second, get someone who can help you. It makes a huge difference (especially for me). I was able to go through almost all my digital images in December. It probably took me upwards of 40 hours. I deleted, deleted, deleted. I played good music. I implored my husband to take a few days off work to help sort the garage. We hired a person (we knew him) for a day. Took the tension off between us. Just last week, we bought two shelf units from Target to replace some old cabinets. We have tossed so much and given things away. My parents moved this year and that overwhelmed me. I never want that much stuff! I have spent the year scanning business records and have shredded at least a dozen boxes of records. More on tap this year. I really had to make it a priority but do find a helper even if that person just keeps you on task.
LOL! I've been ranting about that all day today. I swear I can see the time move on the clock. I'm the world's biggest multitasker and gotta stop it. Simplify, declutter & get organized....my new year's res every year. Any way I love your still life photo that symbolizes exactly that :-)
I was drawn to your photo because of the lighting--which I love--and then saw the title. How perfect, and exactly how I feel. I started after Christmas and it's my only resolution for the year. Just the little bit that I've done has made me feel better! You just have to keep chipping away. I'm saving the garage for last....ugh!
