The current exhibit at Biltmore is "Fashionable Romance: Wedding Gowns in Film"... from films like Pride and Prejudice, Sense and Sensibility, and Out of Africa... dozens of beautiful gowns on display, along with fabulous floral displays (90% of flowers are fresh!) Just recently, they are allowing photographers to use their cameras in the house without flash as a test. They haven't allowed any photographs in the house in several years, so I was pleasantly surprised. And the afternoon we visited, there were few visitors and we could leisurely tour the house. Daffodils and hyacinths were blooming, but it will be another week or so before the tulips are at peak... hope to go back!
When we got to this room on our tour last week, I looked at my husband and said, "Honey, I want a pipe organ in our next dining room!" Gorgeous room. Loved seeing all the dresses.
