Tonight more than 540 churches around the world joined together with the Tim Tebow Foundation to sponsor a prom event for individuals ages 14 and up with special needs. The community I live in sponsored a Night To Shine Event and were expecting about 100 to attend. More 90,000 were estimated to be attending this event tonight around the world. This flower arrangement was donated to our local event. It was so tall (about 5 feet) I had to walk it a couple of blocks to the church - up hill- because it wouldn't fit in van! Got a little work out in!
Was just listening on the news here about the formal dance event that was being held in Ft. Smith tonight in conjunction with this. What a wonderful event for those young folks. The news did mention that this was going on around the world tonight. That's so great.
@milaniet I am already seeing Facebook posts about the event and it looks like they are having a blast! Also made a couple of newscasts so far. An interesting side note... all events are on the same day with the same color scheme... blue, white, silver and black. We made 50 corsages, 50 bouinnieres, blue up 150 balloons in addition to the table arrangement. Plus we had two high school Senior nights, a high school homecoming night, a funeral and a few other deliveries today... been a busy day!
@alophoto Thanks, Amanda! I was asked to work at the event, but with Valentine's Day looming and working at a floral shop, I offered to make them a flower arrangement instead, unsure if I would have time to attend the event. Worked out well for me.
