Uninhabited

Unless some wild critters have found their way inside.
My kind of photo op! Makes me want to explore that weathered house and also wonder about it's various inhabitants! Love it, Cathy! Fav

What a find and the trees behind make me wonder re the story...clear cut? Trees cleared for a yard and some left for a wind break?

It was somebody's home, sweet home at one point, lovingly painted and tended too... and now, Raccoon hangout.

@bjywamer You are braver than I am! The front of the house is semi intact, but one of the sides is open to the weather.

@seattlite Have watched this house for years... sad to see it continue to decline.

@jgpittenger There is a little creek in front of the house, sits down in a low valley facing a hillside. Clear cut is a good possibility, as it was probably used for pasture in times gone by.

@lyndemc The house had good bones, looks like the remnants of a porch. Sad to see it left to the elements.

And it might well be home to several critters! Looks like it was an interesting home.

It looks like it was probably rather grand in it's day. Wonderful shot!

What a lonely look to this place. I like the contrast with the surrounding woods.

looks like it was once a grand looking home. Wonder by it is up on cement blocks, like it's been moved there and forgotten.

Something about this is very evocative and haunting; wonderfully
composed and captured with a story

Gorgeous....just think of the family/families that once lived here and the stories they could tell.
