.... the fall of the Berlin Wall, 30 years ago today!
I had left Berlin inAugust 1989, so missed all the excitement, Phil was still there & danced on the wall as I fell! These pictures are from our time there 1986- 1989.
Fabulous images! My hubby remembers going through checkpoint Charlie on his motorbike on a day off when he was in Germany with the army. We went there a couple of years ago and he found it intensely moving to be able to walk through the Brandenburg Gate on foot, no wall anymore. Amazing day in history. Fav from me.
What a momentous time and also that Phil should experience the wall coming down. David was there three weeks before but missed the actual event. Did Phil manage to keep a piece of the wall?
