How it was Done!

Thought it might be nice to show some of things we do to achieve shots! I use my conservatory a lot when taking pictures, because it has the best light! The only thing missing from this is me on the floor leaning on that stool! It was Richard’s mention of Heath Robinson yesterday that made me think of doing this!......
It's nice to see your set up.

This is fabulous. I love the wicker furniture in your conservatory! Beautiful, Carole!

Interesting shot.

My shot today had the rocking chair, a stool and a cusion- just to hold up the white board!! I'm thinking about getting that little tripod (or a Gorilla grip one) to save being on my knees so much!! You got a great macro with this set up BTW!

Amazing what we use to support the camera and the backdrop to our photography - I rarely use a tripod although I have a couple of full size ones and a gorilla grip one - but this size of yours must be very handy to have !

That is an amazing tripod! I still do not have one, what is this one called? Can it be extended or is this the size?

@ludwigsdiana Not exactly the same, but here is something similar from Amazon UK

Very ingenious Carole.

@ludwigsdiana our one came free with the light box, but Phil has given you an alternative above.

I use the conservatory too when I can, mine's freezing in this weather!

The conservatory does seem to be the place to be. I really must invest in a tripod, it's normally balanced on a pile of books!

Always interesting to see the set up for a photo.

nice to see this - I'm always perched on a quad bike free hand holding the camera with my neck hurting ;)

@phil_sandford Thanks so much Phil, I will have to look into it :-)

@phil_sandford I just had a looat it Phil, would I also need a mount adaptor?

I love seeing "behind the scenes" setup shots! It's always so interesting! I have some really crazy and wacky setups sometimes and the thought has crossed my mind to do this...maybe I will in the future. Thanks so much for sharing your setup and I absolutely love your conservatory. :-)

@ludwigsdiana So long as your camera has a hole in the bottom that the tripod can screw into, no, you shouldn’t need a mount adaptor. Remember, the one I’ve given you a lonk to, is only about 6 inches tall. It’s a mini tripod for doing ‘stuff’ likr Carole did. I also have a larger, lightweight tripod that I got from Amazon UK also.
