I had to venture into Lincoln today as I needed some new work trousers . These days it’s not something I do very often. This was on my way to the high street from Brayford Wharf. Many years ago there were warehouses & boats unloading in the Brayford area. It was not a particularly salubrious area, & can imagine dubious people in the shadows!
The Glory Hole, the area under the bridge, also known as the Murder Hole, is apparently where bodies that had been thrown into the river Witham used to wash up! Not such a dubious area these days, but I still wouldn’t walk the allies after dark!
Also visible is the back of Highbridge Cafe. I have posted the front view a view times before.
When I have visited the UK, I have always enjoyed the tow paths along those waterways….in the daytime. Love your photo that includes the canal and the people walking.

understand about not walking certain areas alone - no matter what
