I recently said , I think to Hazel, that our hellebores were nowhere near flowering. A closer examination today showed that I was wrong! All of the plants have buds on & just a couple of flowers actually blooming. They are at the moment very near to the ground & it was impossible to get a shot in situ! So In the name of photography I took one inside!
Definitely a flower deserving of in-studio treatment! I like how the brown bits remind us of the realness of the flower and its lifecycle in an otherwise perfect flower.
I will have to go look more closely at our hellebore tomorrow. I always have a had time photographing them because they turn their heads down. I love the sharp details in your shot.
That’s a very pretty one. Actually Phil told me that yours were nowhere near out when I posted a very early one a couple of days ago. I hope you corrected him 😂.
Wonderful high key macro
