Wow what a fantastic portrait - love his hands and the intensity in his eyes. The lighting is gorgeous and the simple muted background is perfect. I feel like I know something about him just from this portrait-FAV for sure!

@raymond Thank you. :) I chose this setting---just a corner in my home, because the light was strongly side lit. I wanted to show how he is growing into a man and chose a pose that was natural to him but also indicitave of that transition.
Great portrait indeed! You managed very well what you wanted, he really looks like a grown man. I also like the black space above him, it enhances the feeling that he has a lot to take care of.
My goal for the next quarter is to become at least "good" at portraits. I may pin this one on the wall behind my monitor as an example of where I would love to get ... just a great pic in my opinion.
