A mother coot with her family.Whilst I was taking pics,the father sat in the water in front of me,and squawked,obviously being very protective of his family.Many thanks for all your views,comments and Favs,always much appreciated.

They are very brave when they're defending their young - I once saw a coot set upon a Canada goose that got too near the nest for the coot's liking!
