Hummingbird Baby Rescue

195 / 365
Today a hummingbird baby got trapped inside our house. The ceiling here is really high, so we could not capture it in a safe way. It was a bit of a torture to watch the hummy getting exausted. At one point it just falls down to the floor and that is when we are able to catch it. It was then that I noticed that it was actually a baby. The poor thing was not able to fly. So we feed a bit of sugared water to give it a boost of energy. After a while resting in my hand the baby hummy gathered this force and flew away. Happy ending.

SOOC.

Thank you for stopping by and taking a look at my project.

@jgpittenger, can totally relate to that. After the baby flew away I couldn't stop checking on it after it made a lond stop in a branch to recover a bit more. I was so emotional ;)

@sailingmusic , it was really an amazing experience... you need to get the feel that holding to tight might hurt him, holding to soft it could fly off the hand, fall on the floor and get even more stressed. The best part is to feel the heartbeat ;) thank you for your comment.
