My Dad

Today I drove my dad to a local sawmill as he wanted to buy some logs for his wood burner. My dad use to work in forestry so he loves pottering around places like this. He recently turned 82 and the deterioration in his eyesight means he can no longer drive so as a family we try and help out.

He hates his picture being taken but I told him I needed to get better at using my new wide angle lens , so he reluctantly agreed! I must of been pulling some funny faces whilst I was trying to compose the image as he suddenly burst out laughing and I managed to capture it. I'm pleased with how the lens has showed him in the context of the surroundings.
Wonderful portrait - he looks a lovely character. Glad he enjoyed you taking his photo and the context adds a lot
