Take a second look

I've been overwhelmed by the positive response to my hound images - thank you, it's made my week!

So this building appeared in my project a couple of weeks ago and when I was back again in the same part of the city I thought I would look to see if I could improve on what I'd taken previously . I found that by standing right under the building I could find an angle which showed more reflections.

I'm thinking that I may choose 5-10 locations to keep revisiting during the course of the project as I think it will help improve my compositional and technical skills. I would be interested to hear if anyone else has done this.
I think it’s well worth revisiting locations and getting a different ‘take’ on a previous view. Love the lines and that copper is so rich. Great reflection

Nice viewpoint especially with the bright blue sky. I frequently revisit spots but I'm usually limited on time plus Rutland has a few photogenic places that are difficult to resist!

Beautiful angles and lines

@carvl Yes it is nice although it's not the cheapest of places to live. You must be Loughborough area if the Quorn hunt is near you?

Super shot. I like the strong, dynamic lines.
And yes, certainly go back to the same places(s). If you have some control over what time of the day you go, you could try the Photographers Ephemeris, you can find out where the sun (or moon!) will be any time during the day, for any location. It's great for planning when to go.

I had to take a second look at the photo. I didn't realise it was a reflection at first. Great lines and patterns. Going back and taking the scene from different perspectives is always a good activity trying to be more creative.

Really beautiful tones and very nice POV. I have many "go to" spots that I revisit again and again. I would encourage you to do this too. It's so interesting how your image will change depending on the time of year, light, POV, etc.

Love the intersection of lines and panels. Really contributes to the effectiveness of your composition. Totally aree to doing revisits as you'll always end up with a different, often better result everytime.
