@carolmw@peadar Yes I was lucky! As a matter of fact one of the two was a complete bow, as I rarely one has the chance to see. Thank you for commenting
By the way, I had a quick look at your D3200 manual. The function you need for exposure lock is referred to AE-L (automatic exposure lock) and the button is on the back of the camera body (it looks like a key). You hold the shutter half-way down to set your exposure, then hold the AE-L button, recompose your shot and depress the shutter. The manual page 61 refers. Any issues, please shout and I'll see if I can help.
Thank you Peter @peadar. I knew about the AE-L, but I have never been able to make it work. So I simply keep the shutter button half way. However, you push me to try again (I am not a very patient person) and I'll let you go. Good to have a helping hand across the Channel!
@peadar great! The night of the vote I stayed awake all night to listen to the results and I could not believe what I was hearing. I felt like mourning my English friends for days...
@jesperani It was really special. And looking at the picture now I found an interesting detail: between the two rainbows, low among the leaves there is an Italian flag! Have you seen the movie Blow up? Well there a photographer discovered a killer looking and looking at his picture! So far I have only found a flag, but who know? @peadar
@stimuloog interesting observation. But that is an optical effect of course. I like the tiny Italian flag in the bottom left corner and the tower on the right. Finding unexpected details is always fun
