An interesting effect. I like the contrast between the concrete quality of the trees and the ethereal quality of the light trails. Happy to be following you r project now.
Beautiful light trails. I cannot understand how both light trails go in the same direction on opposite sides of the street unless one side of the picture is a reflection of the other.
@sangwann Well, I was on top of the walls where there is a passage for cars. on the right side there are the cars exiting the city (red backlights) and on the left the cars entering and you see the white front lights. The only place where there is a mixture of white and red is at the curve on the right side where cars turn to go left. There it could be that some of the front lights become visible from the side and produce some white trails mixed with the red ones
@suzanne234 it is very easy. Only one secret: a tripod that allows you long exposure. Here I used 30" because the traffic was quite scarce and shorter times produced short, interrupted trails. And of course one should find the right location: I only found this one after looking around. We don't have downtown highways
@caterina You're more than welcome for my comment. There's plenty more where that came from. And it is my pleasure to follow your project. I would have done so much sooner. I can't believe I wasn't.
@caterina Of course, I like metaphors. (Have I ever mentioned that) I've even used them often when I'm writing a poem. I have an idea for one even now. It's about a marshmallow. ;-)
@paul10 you are such an expert photographer that won't have any problem, except finding the right location! Cemeteries and abandoned castles rarely have the light trails you'll be looking for!
