Really like this photo. Totally because of the composition which is fabulous. And works wonderfully well, inspite of or perhaps because of the lack of depth and detail. It looks like a painterly study into the values of shape and form and color and line. Quite brilliant really. Fav
Since writing the last comment, I have checked out the link which you were so kind to share. I like his photos a lot. But he seems to concentrate and do his best work with the benefit of bright, bold colors. I think he is less interesting in those photo using more subdued colors. In that regard, yours is IMHO, at least the equal of his.
@domenicododaro he’s too nice! I don’t know what IMHO is but I enjoy his Comments. He can be also severe and I like that because his criticisms are alway very much to the point. Isn’t it @mbrutus ?
@mbrutus thank you very much. Your comments are always so detailed and helpful. Intros case I am the one humbled by your opinion. Fontana is a giant. I don't understand how he does his work. certainly with a tele (and that was I used here) probably a powerful one, and then there must be quite a deal of post processing. I even bought a book by him, but he only speaks about zen and emotions, not technique ;.)
@stimuloog thank you very much Marloes I thought it was in your line of emotion. Fontana (Franco is the Christian name) really is a giant and I’d like to be able to humbly be inspired by him. Don’t even dare to use the word imitate…
