That is so awesome that you could see it. There was a slight chance that we would visit it the second time I went to Israel, but in the end the Jordanians put a restriction that if you entered the country you would not be able to return to Israel. So we couldn't go. Great shot!

@mona65 Yes Mona thank you, we were there two days before the disaster and are very sorry to hear of the lost lives and of the damage to that precious site

Classic shot! Did you hike through. I was playing my flute in the Treasury and a young man, with a shepherd's handmade flute came in and we played a bit together, then he asked me to marry him, lol. It was tempting as that was such an amazing hidden 'village' back in the 70's.

@stefneyhart Great story! WE walked all the way back and forth the Siq a couple of times but to go up to the monastery I went mulback riding because I have a painful knee and those steps were just too many!

@caterina Good for you! I envied people that could afford mules back then, lol. These days I'd definitely use you. What a great adventure you have. Yes adventure is my thing, too. I just retired as well.
