Hiding to smoke. Portrait of stranger #58

This guy had left the restaurant to smoke his sigarette hiding in the doorway. Unfortunately he was under a reddish street lamp. He was amused at the idea of posing, but was quite pessimistic about the light. It is more visible on black
the lack of light has certainly brought a lot of character into his pose. You made the circumstances work to your advantage.

Definitely a great shot view on black - the “flame” really pops

I love this, it has the colours of an old master. Well spotted and well executed.

This has nearly become a crime to day in our country. Great shot never the less.

It makes for a very authentic image - smokers often give the impression of skulking to indulge their habit. It must make them feel a bit alienated - I think your portrait has caught this.
