This is so different with the child wistfully touching the wheel of the bike - maybe wishing he could ride it? Who knows? The child's yellow rain jacket underlines the rain part and I love how the kid is standing in the one rain puddle that is visible - such a kid thing to do - your title sums it up its a fav for me
@catcarter19 the child liked to jump in the puddle, despite his mother’s complaints and he was clearly fascinated by the wheel of the bike, much bigger than himself
@taffy@busylady@ginnys@jacqbb thank you all! I was indeed fascinated by this little yellow thing jumping in the puddle and caressing the wheel of the big bike
@domenicododaro excellent! Only one shot and you are set. Pier, on the contrary, needs to wait until the 27th of June for his second jab. I wrote volunteering as a (free) vaccinator but didn’t get an answer :(
@domenicododaro I agree. That’s what I thought. now they have even included Pharmacists and GPs so they don’t need retired paediatricians. Although the mountain villages are not covered well and I doubt that old people from Cortina will be happy to travel to Belluno or Auronzo to get their shot. Well at least I did my “beau geste”!
I really really like this shot. For all the obvious reasons. But particularly the excellent composition, as usual. The textures of the street pavers are excellent. And help lead our attention to the boy. Thank goodness his mother had the artistic foresight to dress him in a yellow rain slicker for the occasion. The photo communicates his wonder and longing perfectly.
@mbrutus@tunia@chejja@jyokota@carolmw thank you. I like this picture too. The child was delightful, playing with his boots in the puddle AND ignoring his mother’s calling. The yellow coat was indeed what made the difference. And the bike ‘S wheel
