Neonatology Ward

There are flocks of sheep being taken to the meadows above Cortina. The sheep that deliver their babies are left in a separate group.
Lovely lighting and adorable long ears!

Great photo! And cute sheep. Was it dark outside or how did you get the light foreground with the dark background?

Great event shot. Farming is so complicated!

@erikawd thanks Erika! It wasn’t really dark. The light on the foreground was natural and the darkness in the background was due to the pinewood at the border of which the sheep were resting. I hope this was helpful

A very nice pastoral shots. Reminds me of one of my alltime favorite movies, BABE. As a non-photographic question: Do you happen to know why they seem to have blue paint on their rumps?

Great photo of this group - and I just love their droopy ears!

@caterina oh that makes sense. Well it makes for a lovely shot.

@mbrutus thank you M. I think the blue mark indicates that they are expected to deliver or, earlier, that they have been mounted by the ram. If you are interested in agriculture or sheep raising you should watch on Amazon Prime Clarckson’s farm. Very entertaining

@caterina Remind me to tell you the story sometime about farming in kindergarten.

Such a sweet photo. That one seems to be looking right at you as if she is wondering what you are doing.
