Main room of the library Capitolare

The oldest manuscript on parchment written and preserved here dates back to 561 A.C. But in the past even the original letters from Cicero were kept here. And today the only existing text of the laws of roman right is among the treasures protected by these walls.
This is a spectacular image Caterina and the fact that it is the guardian of such documents is just amazing.

@robz thank you Rob! We had for the first time in 30 years that we live in Verona a guided tour of the library. Imagine that they have an edict of Federico Barbarossa (what’s the English name?) signed in 1150. And the second manuscript of the work by Sant’Agostino. Just to mention a few. It is incredible that so many have survived invasions wars bombing…
