Wonder Woman by cathrinemitch

Wonder Woman

We all love heroes to save the day. This Wonder Woman saved the day in an hour many may not have know. In the 1940's her character charged forward to encourage women they did not need to be suppressed by society. Women then were cooks, homemakers and rarely self supporting hence Wonder Woman comics depicted an independent woman who led the charge for humanity. Later in the 1950 the comic industry accused the comic (Wonder Woman) and charged the comic as influencing the youth and insisted they conform to gender stereotyping of the day. Well we all know the story today she is still our hero despite the restrictions placed on her writers, she has overcoming near 7 decades and has made a place in history for all female superheroes. As a collector I marvel the influence she has had on society despite the many obstacles faced, a definite influence in history.
Super shot.
