After I got set up and started the exposure, a camper down the road turned on all his lights! At first I was irritated, but then realized it actually gave me some light on the rocks. Thanks Camper down the road.
This still isn't up to the standards I was hoping for, but they are getting better. I really think I need a faster lens. I'm thinking about the 16-35 f2.8? Does anyone have that one, and if so what do you think of it. Or do I need a 1.8 lens?
Alright, seriously now..........are you a freakin' magical photo maker or what?! This is gorgeous. I'm gonna view the info so I can give this a go. Wow, total fav. Good job!
@kenteroo Awww, thanks Lacy! This is my current goal. I love the Milky Way. It is fun to do, but I think I need a faster lens. Also for some reason 365 makes my shots look flat. It looks better on Flickr and even better on my computer.
Love this - total fav. :) I really want to try this when it gets warmer up at the cottage. Not sure how much light pollution I will have, but it's worth a shot! Just went to your Flickr account (and added you as contact) - all pics look better over there. ;)
@russianblue It is really fun!!! We had a lot of light pollutions that night, so this one was taken in kind of a bright sky.Doing it in the city won't work well though. Oh cool, I'll add you there too!
@catwhiskers I made you a friend on my flickr account since most of my stuff is for friends. You now also have access to this shot over there. Added you too:-)
