Eva

Eva is an old wooden gill netter built in 1937. Long retired she spends most of her days moored in Finn Slough, making occasional appearances in the fishing village of Steveston for a boat show or at their annual Salmon Festival.
Beautiful shot

I really like the way the monochrome is bringing out all the textures and details. The bike appeals to me, as does the neatness of the woodstack. The boat is clearly an old lady with years of work behind her. Super scene. Would make an excellent jigsaw puzzle as there is so much interest in the details.

Lovely b&w. We paid a brief visit to Finn Slough last year. Unfortunately it started raining as we arrived.

@merrelyn What time of year did you visit Merrelyn? And did you get to Britannia Shipyards and Steveston Village as well. They are just a little further down the river from Finn Slough. I shoot at all three locations a lot as I live fairly close. And yes, it often rains here on the Wet Coast.

Yes we did make to Steveston and Britannia shipyards. We stayed with friends in Delta in mid September for a week and then back again for a few days either side of Thanksgiving. It was part of a six week trip.
