Burr Villa by cdcook48

Burr Villa

Another in my series of heritage buildings. I love shooting them, something about their character and uniqueness. This one was built in 1905 and belonged to Harry Burr, a prominent farmer in the region. I realize that for those of you who live in Europe 1905 practically qualifies as a new home but for those of us in the Pacific Northwest rainforest 1905 is OLD. Most home construction was of wood and wood rots when it gets wet so not much has lasted.
Love that moody sky against the colour of the brick.

This is very nice. I like that tall evergreen beside the house and the small curved driveway to the entrance of the house.

It's a lovely old building. (1905 qualifies as old here too)

Beautiful home! I think 1905 is old enough to be old, so it qualifies for me.
