Admittedly not the best sport photo I’ve ever taken but it is the best one I’ve taken in over a year. Because it’s the only one I’ve taken in over a year. Since COVID-19 shut down sport it has closed off an avenue for one of my favourite genres. Even when amateur sports started up again in the fall no spectators were permitted. My granddaughter’s softball league has just resumed and even though spectators are discouraged I lurked on the sidelines during her practice. No games are scheduled so the girls can only practice and scrimmage with their teammates, but it is better than nothing. And I can scratch my sport photography itch.
