Week 2 of Flash of Red is Found Objects and I admit I had a little problem sorting that out because basically anything can be "found". Researching it just made me more confused but one branch of Found Objects Art involved placing an object in an unlikely place. So here's my plan: My found object is a Victorian era embosser which I have introduced in today's post. I intend to photograph it in various places during the week. We'll see how it goes.

Struggling here too but I guess we will all find our own approach and judge, at the end of the week, how successful we think they were. You've picked an interesting piece. Does it emboss a single motif or can it be changed to do different ones?
@gardencat It belonged to my wife’s great grandfather and it embossed his initials in fancy script. The plate is missing now but I imagine it could have been interchangeable.
This is a great find, and I like your idea of photographing it in different places. I'm confused about the concept of found objects, too, but it's an interesting challenge.
I think many of us are struggling with this theme. Makes us all think and stretch!
