Today we celebrate the Birthday of America. I had to take a flag shot - the symbol of Freedom to those that live in the USA. I am a proud American. I didn't always respect this symbol as much as I do today, with hindsight and maturity.
I am waving the flag today and eating hamburgers. I did my fireworks last night so I can comfort my canines tonight.
Times have changed - and they are changing even more. The best part, in my opinion, is that we are so much more a Global people - 365 is a testament to that.
Felicitations from an ancient Brit to all in our former colony, which seems to be doing pretty well without us. So glad we were able to remain good friends in a troubled world!

Great shot of the flag against the blue sky! Happy 4th of July! I have always loved the 4th of July and now have even more reasons to love it. It is the birthday of someone very special to me. A few years ago, I joined the DAR for one of my Revolutionary War ancestors.
