Charlie was here yesterday so Maggie needed to be here today. She is not posing here - in fact she looked over her shoulder as she proceeded to ignore me. She hates the camera. Maybe because she has been photographed since the day she was born - the shot that I fell in love with. She is the dog of my heart. I wasn't supposed to get her but her wooley coat makes her a "fluffy" so not able to be shown. When the breeder called to tell me that I could have her I made the two hour drive before she hung up the phone.
This is also my baby that has Addison's Disease. So, not only did I search for a Cardigan Welsh Corgi, blue mere, female puppy (I had a lot of criteria) for two years I fought hard to find out what was wrong with her and save her life. Addison's is rare, waxes and wanes through the years and many die from the "crash." We were lucky and managed to get her to an ER (of course, it was the weekend) and they diagnosed her and got her on the right meds quickly. So now, with a shot of liquid gold every month and prednisone every day she is a healthy and happy almost eight year old.
Poor thing gets too nervous to go the groomer so she has to put up with me. Oh, and did I mention that I love her.
