I spent the morning at my favorite cemetery. It is one of the most beautiful and peaceful spots in the heart of he city. I have a spot there that I think of as mine. My lake. My tree. My time to forget everything else and only think about how can I best capture what is in front of me. And I never quite succeed. Today, I decided that that is a good thing. It keeps me going back to lose myself one more morning to try again.
Lovely fall leaves, Cathy. I was trying for similar shots today, too. I find that this area has become so much more mine due to photographing it. Each thing, place that I photo somehow becomes mine or a part of me. It has really helped me to feel at home here. Glad that you got some peace this morning!
I think you do wonderfully well in capturing scenes, I love what you do. I drifted through 2 cemeteries today (we got the wrong one first time) and thought they both looked lovely in the autumn light. Alas we were rushed and didn't have time to stop and take in the moment (or a photo) :)
