My prayers are with all of you that are in the path of Sandy. I am 628 miles from the Atlantic Ocean here in Cincinnati, Ohio. I know because I typed the question into the all powerful internet and it told me so. For the last two days we have not seen a bit of sun and it is very windy. We are in part of the cold front that is coming in from Canada and is going to meet up with Sandy to wreck havoc. I hope that you are all not out with cameras to get a shot and put yourselves in harms way. I know the networks love to work a big story but they are sure pushing the gloom and doom angle here.
My Crepe Myrtle is going out with a bang this year. I think the leaves that are left are gorgeous - but no sunshine to light it.
stunning photo Cathy hope you and your family will be safe as i heard on our local news in the UK about Sandy and for any of my friends on 365 keep safe from Hurricane Sandy
Wonderful DOF Cathy & it looks like your garden is still beautiful in winter.
You are a long way from the coast & to put it in perspective the full length of the British Isles from Lands End to John o'Groats in Scotland is 645 miles...I know because I looked it up too!
@jenniferruge I'm going to miss it terribly. But I spent the summer buying funny or colorful things to take my eye back there. @grammyn Thanks Katy. It was a quick shot in the cold. @gerry We are far inland. Just very windy here. @carolmw Thank you Carol. It is surprisingly pretty as it dies out for the winter. @windridge Thanks Susan. True Fall colors. @amandalomonaco Thank you Amanda. @sugarmuser Thanks, Sharon. @maggiemae Thanks Maggie. This would be so pretty with some light on it but by the time I have some light I won't have any leaves.... @humphreyhippo Thank you. All leaves. @happypat Isn't the internet a wonderful thing?
