I'm having a God moment. Tune out if you wish. I've been trying to go through my Dad's old watchmaker's desk and find something that I can have fixed for Tom for his birthday or Christmas. Now that sounds like a good idea until I took my top three choices to the watchmaker here and he said it was nearly impossible to get parts and would cost my first born (who is 41 and not likely to go along) to fix them. So I came back home and dug further into the wealth of old watches that are laying there in the drawers looking for ones that didn't have separate second hands - easier for the guy to work with. I came across this old Masonic watch. I don't think it was Dad's because I have the one he always wore but anything is possible. Are you ready for the God moment? Nobody has touched this is years - and yet, the second hand started to tick. It ticked off five seconds in my hand. I know some of you are saying that somehow it just had some oomph left in it, I nudged it and it moved, I imagined it. But that is not what happened. My Dad just gave me a hug.
How awesome. Love to hear stories like that. My sister told me that if she sees a penny face up on the street that means that our mom is thinking of us.
