Happy Birthday! by cdonohoue

Happy Birthday!

On February 18th, 1951 my Mom gave birth to a baby girl. That was before sonograms, when it was still a surprise. According to the family story my Dad wanted a little girl. He was so pleased that they never had another one!

Thank you all for the birthday wishes on my photograph from yesterday. This is the best one ever! My best friend for over 40 years took me to this fabulous cup cake bakery that caters to children's birthday parties. I was the first big girl party that they had there. We decorated cupcakes and laughed - a lot! The lady took our picture and posted it on Facebook. Then we spent the day all over town taking pictures. We never get to spend enough time together these days so that made today even more perfect.

The cupcake lady had these wonderful chandeliers over top of her tables.
Cool shot! Happy Birthday!

Fab shot!! Like lots of little crystal balls :) Love that you had the FIRST big girl party there. Oh and even though I had the option to, I NEVER found out the gender of my 3 babies until the moment they were born.
