Amethyst - My Birthstone

Do I ever have amethysts! I went looking for something for the shot today and pulled a handful of them out of the jewelry box. My baby ring is just visible in the lower middle of this shot. One of my newer favorites are Ametrines. They are formed when a vein of Amethyst and Citrine merge. I have a ring and a pendant in this shot. Some are deeper, some clearer. It is considered a semi precious stone. Always very precious to me.
